I spent my down time this weekend playing a game called Darksiders. Oh, yeah! Mayhem, chaos, demons and a BIG sword. ~sigh~
It was wonderful. I took out some anxiety and aggression on some make-believe targets. I haven’t spent a lot of time on video games in the last couple of years. I buy them play for a little bit and then put chores/writing/work/making money/feeding the family before my gaming.
My hubby on saturday said, “You need to play Darksiders this weekend. No cooking or cleaning just Darksiders.” I said “No way. That’s being totally lazy.” But, he put his foot down and (secretly clapping for joy) I reluctantly (on the outside) agreed.
We did the need to do errands, bill paying and yard sale saturday. Then sunday I played Darksiders. Not an event most people would do on Easter, but I am a little weird. I don’t think God was too terribly upset with me after all the game was about one of his Four Horsemen, War. I got killed, I made progress and WOOHOO! I learned how to throw sticky bombs! I really truly believe it’s the little things in life that make us happy.
So I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. I know we did.
Thanks for stopping by……
