The Tuesday Train and cooking

My husband is an excellent cook. I have no problem with him cooking dinner or dessert any time he wants too. My issue is the mess he makes.

It’s not just a few pots and pans, nope, its every pot and pan! Don’t get me wrong I’m quite happy to clean the kitchen in trade for eating the wonderful dishes he creates. I guess I am just wondering how he can dirty everything when all he makes is an egg salad sandwiches! LOL!

Yes, it’s a hard life I lead: beautiful scenery, great home cooked meals, and the most wonderful husband in the world. Today we celebrate 12 years of being married, and its true: you can marry your best friend.

I hope everyone is as happy as we are, and if you haven’t found Mr. or Ms. Right yet, take heart. I was in my thirties before I found mine. Yours is out there.

Come on board the Tuesday Train, where I promise you the kitchen is clean and the food is great! Visit with some wonderful bloggers and make new friends!

And if you prefer Twitter, we now have the Twitter Train! Come on by, and meet some great people in the Twitter Train lounge!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week! Take care and have fun!

First all, congrats on 12 years of marriage togetherness! Second, that’s awesome your hubby likes to cook. My DH can cook, but I’m the one who prefers to do this. Cooking is my creative outlet. Third, your hubby’s cooking messes reminds me so much of my DDs when they lived at home. They loved to cook, but oh! what a mess they would make and I wondered how is possible for them to wreck the kitchen so badly. I think experience teaches you to clean up as you go when cooking or least this is what I’ve learned after three decades in the kitchen. lol

  3. Congratulations on your anniversary Shellie. My husband and I just celebrated 42 years last month. It took me quite a bit longer to convince him to cook in exchange for me doing dishes, and I am facing a sinkload right now, from the pot of soup he made yesterday. But it is all good, and his cooking is mostly better than mine. 😀
